Solar Foreman
Mission:
- The Solar Foreman provides leadership and direction on the residential PV installation process.
Results:
- Install solar panel system within a 1-day period and pass city inspection.
- Install system at or below assigned budget (materials, labor, etc).
- Teach and build skill capability of Solar Technician team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide assessment of residential roof and foresee/solve any potential barriers.
- Install system according to designed blueprints.
- Provide job instructions to each Solar Technician.
- Communicate installation process to customers and answer all technical questions.
- Report all pertinent information to Field Quality Manager as needed.
- Conduct shading analysis and submit paperwork and photos to Post Sales team.
- Monitor labor and material cost for each installation .
- Comply with all solar codes according to NEC standards.
- Ensure all Solar Technician timecards and submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Adheres to all safety requirements and regulations.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in solar industry.
- Experience managing and leading teams.
- 2+ years of Basic Electrical knowledge.
- Experience bending conduit.
Requirements
- Must own basic hand tools (including saw zaw and impact drill).
- Must have a valid California Drivers License, clean driving record, and proof of insurance to operate company vehicle.

Solar Technician
General Summary:
- The Solar Installer will be responsible for installing residential and small commercial building solar photovoltaic systems.
Essential Job Functions:
- Install solar panels on residential homes
- Install roof railings and stand offs
- Properly flash all roof penetrations
- String configuration for solar array
- Bend conduit
- Run electrical DC wires to invertors
- Clean and maintain equipment
Education and Experience:
- Roof experience is required.
- At least 1 year in construction environment.
- Electrical experience is a plus!
Requirements:
- Must have a valid California Drivers License.
- Clean driving record.
- Proof of insurance
- Vehicle for transportation.
- Must own basic tools: screw gun, bits, screw driver, socket and wrench set, tool belt, level, chalking gun, impact drill, hammer, tape measure, pry bar, wire cutters, wire strippers, saw zaw.

- Must be able to climb ladders to get on a roof
- Must be able to work on roofs for 4-6 hours

Senior Solar Designer Engineer
Mission:
- Evaluate solar projects for code compliance/feasibility and submit permits to ensure final sign off.
Results:
- Design and submit 10 solar projects per week.
- Attain a 100% inspection pass rate.
- Answer all Inspection representatives’ questions within 2 hours.
- Pull 60 -65 city permits per month.
- Expedite permit process turnaround time by 15%.
- Manage the design and permit team.
Essential Duties:
- Reviewing all new solar projects for feasibility and compliance.
- System design and specifications, including identifying materials requirements.
- Obtaining all local permits and other required approvals (e.g., homeowners’ association approval), including:
- Preparing all designs, permit packs and documentation needed.
- Coordinating the submission of these documents and following-up as needed.
- Coordinating post-installation inspections.
- Assisting the sales team with system design and technical questions.
- Advising staff on the technical aspects of solar equipment, including the company’s existing suppliers/products and potential new products.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience designing residential solar systems is required (preferably at a company located in Southern California)
- 2+ years experience in the residential construction industry
- Excellent, hands-on knowledge of NEC codes and local permit requirements in Southern California
- NABCEF certification
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electrical engineering
- Excellent CAD skills
- Excellent knowledge of the technical capabilities of existing solar equipment
- Hands-on experience with SolarPathfinder Assistant
- Be energetic, a self-starter, and strong desire of upward mobility and growth
- Have comfort and experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and communication skills.

Cost Accountant
Mission:
- Enable the improvement of Verengo’s gross margin by providing insightful and timely job costing and inventory information.
- Maintain and improve balance sheet information with continuous process improvement
Results:
- Produce job cost report by 10th day of the month.
- Reconcile major balance sheet accounts accurately and timely.
Core Responsibilities:
- Job Costing
- Monitor the cost system for variances and provide assistance to various departments to main the integrity of the job cost records.
- Maintain cost accounting system and cost ledger, and perform month-end close.
- Continuously improve all facets of reporting and analysis in cost operations.
- Inventory Accounting
- Maintain monthly inventory reconciliation between perpetual records and GL.
- Assist and Coordinate inventory controls and procedures (Cycle Counting).
- Analyze inventory valuation.
- Balance Sheet Account Maintenance and Reconciliation
- Fixed asset accounting and control procedures.
- Long term liabilities accounting.
- Prepaid expenses, and Accrued expenses
- Financial Analysis
- Support the rebate program with utilities, supplier and financing company.
- Support marketing and management for yearly budget forecasting.
- Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
- Assist operations forecasting and planning activities.
- Conduct special financial analysis projects as assigned.
- Documentation, File Management and others
- Ensure all the related documents are coded, recorded, and filed accordingly.
- Interact with suppliers and internal departments (Operations and Warehouse).
- Continuous process improvement: assist managers to develop, write, update and review procedures for all required areas; keep current the policies and procedures as they relate to each area; update relevant internal documentation.
- Support the Accounting/Finance department as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Solid understanding of cost accounting and managerial accounting, GAAP, accounting theory and practices.
- Strong MS Office (Excel and Word) is mandatory, database and SQL a plus.
- Proven proficiency with accounting related software and the ability to understand the flow of information between the support system, subsidiary and general ledger and its impact is a plus; working knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
- Plan, organize, schedule, and budget in an efficient, productive manner.
- Focus on key priorities, and adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions. Copes effectively with complexity and change.
- Able to plan and organize workload appropriately to meet deadlines while maintaining stable performance under pressure or stress.
